The Dagoretti South Empowerment Centre (DSEC) is a community owned project that was fully funded by the constituency development fund (CDF). The presence of the Centre to serve the entire District is a giant step towards achieving social integration and cohesion.
We are located along Naivasha Road, next to BP Petrol Station. This community centre houses communal facilities including:
- Library
- Computer School
- Halls for Hire
- Hospital
- Youth Empowerment Centre
- Sports Hall
Dagoretti South Empowerment Centre though fully owned by the community, is self-sustaining. The Centre is run by a board appointed by the MP who is also the patron of the board.
The revenue generated to run the centre is mostly generated from hiring of halls to the public for various functions; as well as the tenants who’ve set up their private businesses on the ground floor.
